JAPANESE PAVILION
New York World's Fair 1939
A Japanese Garden
Palace Gardens of the Tenth Century, embodying
the simple and graceful tastes of classical Japan,
provided the inspiration for this contribution to the
World's Fair. The design, which was developed by
Emperors and court nobles through the years, enhances
the beauties of both pavilion and garden by
supplement as well as contrast.
