A view of the Washington Inn at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. There are cars and a horse-drawn wagon on the road in front. Supposed to have been built prior to 1768, owned by the Potts Estate, and occupied by Col. Dewees who built large ovens in the cellar to bake bread for Washington's Army. To the soldiers it was known as the "Bakehouse." Within its walls some of the court martials were held. |
