Wrightwood (Elv. 6,000 ft.) is located in Swartout Valley on
highway C2, at the southern end of the San Gabriel Moun-
tains. The mountains are pine covered with a greai number of
summer camps located in the valleys and hill-sides. This year-
round resort has ski lifts for winter sports and small lakes and
trails for the summer fun. Paved highways lead from the
desert on one side and San Bernardino Valley on the other.
