The Oldest School House. Built during the first Spanish occupation. Built of cedar. Inside, you will see the old classroom, with life-sized figures of the teacher and the pupils, rare old school books, old fashioned slates and slate pencils, and old maps. Upstairs, is shown the living quarters of the old school master. Many items of old furniture, firearms etc. and the original key to the city gates. See the old-fashioned kitchen, separated from the main building, with the old cooking utensils in use before the Revolutionary War. Stroll through the beautiful old garden, once the school playground, with its old-fashioned flowers and trees, sit at the old wishing well with its old-time well sweep.
