| Boston City Hall was built in 1865. On this site was located the first public school in America. There is an annex at the rear of the building. Boston City Hall located on School Street dates back to 1865. A Latin School stood here in colonial times, later the Country Court House. Statues at Benjamin Franklin and Josiah Quincy stand at the entrance. At the rear is the City Hall Annex. |
