THE OLD STATE HOUSE
located at Washington and State Streets, wit-
nessed the Boston Massacre and the corrective
processes of the whipping post and the stocks.
Here John Hancock was inaugurated first gov-
ernor. The home of the Bostonian Society and
a Marine Museum, it is open to visitors.
