Founder's Hall, Library. Girard College, located at Corinthian and Girard Avenues, has a forty acre campus. It was founded and endowed by Stephen Girard, noted Mariner, Merchant, and Banker, for the education of fatherless boys, opening in 1848. Founder's Hall contains the tomb of the Founder. This marble building has Grecian Corinthian architecture.
