THE DELAWARE RIVER BRIDGE is the World's
largest single span suspension bridge. Its
length is 1.81 miles. The main span between the
towers is 1.750 feet and is 135 feet above mean
high water. The towers are 385 feet high and
the width over all is 125 ft. The Vehicular road-
way is 57 feet wide allowing six traffic lines with
one high speed track on either side and one trolley
track. There
two ten foot footways over
trolley tracks.
