The girl, wearing a red and white outfit and a chef's hat, holds a large red heart. The boy, dressed in blue, holds a smaller Valentine. A verse at the bottom reads, "You stole a heart! Love's law is plain, That bids you part, With one again." The back of the postcard has a handwritten message.
