A view down Clark Avenue in Chautauqua, New York, towards the amphitheater. A horse-drawn carriage is parked on the left side of the street, and several people can be seen in the distance. The street appears to be unpaved. Buildings line both sides of the avenue, including the Stratton Building on the left and a larger, pillared building on the right. Trees are abundant along the street, creating a shaded canopy.
