The "Unofficial Palace of New York"
This magnificent Hotel is world famous. It occupies
an entire square block between 49th to 50th Streets, and
between Park Avenue and Lexington. Rising to a height
of 625 ft. it contains 47 stories and cost nearly $40,000,000.
This Hotel replaces the historical "Home of the Rich" on
34th Street and 5th Avenue, the old Waldorf-Astoria, razed
in 1929.
