CORINTH NATIONAL CEMETERY, CORINTH,
MISSISSIPPI . . . Established in 1866 by
an Act of Congress as a memorial shrine to
the heroic dead of the Battle of Corinth,
fought October 3rd and 4th, 1862, between
a Confederate Army under the command of General
Sterling Price and a Union army commanded by
General W. S. Rosecrans.
