SAN JOSE STATE COLLEGE
Located in the heart of San Jose, this is the old-
est State College in California. Established in
1857 in a small wooden building, originally State
teachers' normal school. It now sprawls over 18
square blocks, offering undergraduate and gradu-
ate degrees in most academic, engineering, and
liberal arts curricula while still providing teach-
ing and administrative graduates.
