No. 5 PEERLESS MOWER.
The Monarch Mower of the World.
Ten years or more have passed since the introduction of our No. 5 Mower to the farming
public. Its superior excellence from the first was made so strikingly apparent by its splendid
work in the field, that it rapidly grew in favor and soon attained an eminent position among rear-
cut Mowers, which it has held to the present time. It is our purpose to keep it in the front, and to
this end it shall have the benefit of every important and useful improvement. Space forbids
mentioning more than but a few of its many meritorious features. It is light in weight, yet
strong, powerful and durable, capable of withstanding the severest trials; and it so con-
structed that choking it in heavy grass in the worst condition and under the most unfavorable
circumstances is out of the question. It is conveniently handled, and with it corners are
turned with the greatest ease.
Its cutting capacity for doing clean, nice work, with the least possible draft, is simply
marvelous, and unequaled by any other rear-cut Mower.
Our Nos. 5 and 8 are single Mowers; no reaper can be attached to either.
For illustration of this Mower, see front page of cover.
