THE PALM TERRACE was once the main con-
course of Terminal Station. Housed here for 40
years was "The Best Friend of Charleston," the
first engine to pull passenger service in the United
States. Now the Palm Terrace serves as the main
dining area for the Chattanooga Choo-Choo.
