Historical Note: On November 19, 1927, the Phillips Petroleum
Company of Bartlesville opened their first filling station in
the nation on East Central in Wichita. A similarly designed
Phillips 66 station was owned by club president Andrea Turley's
Father, and it was on the Southeast corner of St Francis and 13th
Street, also in Wichita.
