Historical Note: The Lincoln Heights Village opened in 1949 on the southwest corner of Oliver and Douglas. Walter Morris and his son William L. Morris owned this property and built Wichita's first shopping center here sixty years ago. Some of the original fourteen tenants included Volbracht Market, Hoosy's restaurant, a Shoe Repair Shop, Barber Shop, Head's Shoes, Flo Brooks, Mueller's Flowers, Gessler Drugs, and others.
