PITTSBURG, CALIFORNIA - The U. S. Post Office building
located in the center of the city.
Pittsburg has undergone an interesting change of names. It
was first inaugurated as the "City of New York of the
Pacific". Then later by some ten years it was called New
York Landing and the Post Office was called Black Diamond.
The influx of industry after the turn of the century led
to the final change of name to Pittsburg.
