The top of the postcard features a hazy depiction of a battle scene with soldiers and flags, inscribed with "1914" and the names of key battles: "La Marne, L'Aisne, L'Yser". The bottom inscription reads: "Aigles destinées de la France sont confiées" (Eagles destined for France are entrusted). The back includes a handwritten message and address.
