A radiogram reports that the "Resolute'P M
arrived on time this morning at Hilo after a
smooth over-night run from Honolulu
793
During the stay at Honolulu the special
entertainments included Palm-tree Climbing
Contests (not by our passengers!) and Surf
Bathing at Waikiki, a Dinner Dance at the
splendid Royal Hawaiian Hotel and a per-
formance in its festive-lighted Gardens by a
troupe of Hula Dancers and Singers.
Today from Hilo on the Island of Hawaii
an automobile trip to the Volcano of Kilauea
is being much enjoyed. Then on coming back
to Hilo your friends will listen to the plunk-
plunk of ukeleles and guitars, feel the pang
of the plaintive Hawaiian songs in their prop-
er setting, and return to their luxurious
travel home with hearts throbbing to the
pulsing rhythm of the bewitching hula-hula.
Now for the "Mainland" of the U. S. A.!
