SMYRNA, DELAWARE - BELMONT HALL One of
the most historic houses in Delaware - Home of the
sixth governor of Delaware, Thomas Collins - A
meeting place for patriots who risked their lives for
freedom during the Revolution. An unusual feature
located on top of the house is the "widow's walk"
where a sentinel was killed by the British during
the Revolution. BELMONT HALL was built in 1686
with the front added in the middle 1700's.
