Swallow Falls

| Swallow Falls, a series of falls and rapids on the Youghiogheny River in Garrett State forest, Garret County, Maryland. The falls were named for the birds that nest in the eroded crevices of the rocks. The last stand of virgin pines and hemlocks in Maryland is back from the river. |
