A beautiful modernized thirteenth century French
Gothic edifice on Riverside Drive and 122nd Street
almost opposite Grant's Tomb. It rises to a height
of 19 stories and above the 19th story is the belfry
with the carillon of 65 bells. Inside this magnifi-
cent masterpiece of architecture the ancient and
modern designs meet without clashing in their
imposing dignity.
