Additional Details:
The King George Inn is the oldest building in Warren Township. For many years it was a stage stop on King George's Road, a pre-Revolutionary highway running from Perth Amboy to Morristown. During restoration work of 1953-54, original hand-hewn beams were uncovered in the Tap Room. The Dining Rooms are furnished in authentic period pieces. Closed Mondays. For reservations call: 647-0410 M. James Hayden, Innkeeper.

The most disgusting news from Warren, is the demolition of the King George Inn. What were you all thinking when you let it pass through your hands to a man who obviously has no cares about history. Come on now, the Inn goes back to pre-revolutionary war days, the oldest building in Warren. The entire twp. board should be dismissed from any further service. My heart with so many other Warren Twp. natives is sinking.
