Here's our artist's rendering of the two new dining rooms which we have just completed. They typify the island of Tahiti and her sister island of Moorea—actual thatched huts with high peaked roofs and surrounded by broad open porches overlooking an enchanting lagoon, a whispering waterfall and a jungly, torch-lit garden to stroll through. An intimate, romantic setting with an authentic South Sea Island atmosphere—wood plank floors, woven bamboo walls, coconut and pandanus panel ceilings—all highlighted with primitive carvings, native tapa cloths and artifacts, fish traps, outrigger canoes and colorful hanging baskets. |
