The Indian Capital of The Great Southwest
Throughout the entire United States Gallup has be-
come known as The Indian Capital because here the
age old ceremonials of the American Indians are pre-
served and presented in their ancient ways.
Each year in Mid-August almost thirty Indian Tribes
gather in Gallup for their annual reunion---The Inter-
Tribal Ceremonial. This great pageant has a support-
ing cast of thousands of these First Americans and
is always attended by many thousands of visitors from
almost every state in the U. S. A.
