Collins Avenue viewed from Indian Creek, showing the luxury hotels, including the Fountainebleau, Eden Roc, and Doral Hotel. Miami Beach, was originally an unsuccessful coconut plantation, and in 1907 the land was cleared for a winter truck farm. Produce grown was transported to the mainland for sale, and for the early winter truck farm.
