MINING AND TECHNOLOGY, SOCORRO, NEW
MEXICO. One of the nations first permanent atmos-
pheric research laboratories, Langmuir is located
17 miles west of Socorro, on a ridge near South
Baldy Peak. The scientific facilities in this moun-
tain lab tie in with the facilities on campus at New
Mexico Tech in Socorro.
