The bewitching caverns of Carlsbad Caverns
National Park, in Southeastern New Mexico, are

sages, and for the variety and delicate coloring of
their formations.
The Santa Fe railway provides the nearest rail
approach to this underground fairyland, with
convenient daily service to Carlsbad, New Mexico,
via the Scout, the popular economy chair car and
tourist Pullman train between Chicago and Cali-
