Seguin Island Light, Maine
Seguin is the highest light above the sea on the
Maine coast, stands on an island off the mouth NE
of the Kennebec River. The original 38 tower
was built in 1795 during George Washington's
administration; and the present tower (1857) 15 AN
53 ft. high and stands 180 ft. above high tide L
