The Chicago Temple (First Methodist) the world' tallest and Chicago's oldest church, is located in the heart of the downtown "Loop." Its spire, floodlighted at night, is an impressive sight. Congregations come from all parts of the land. An active week day program culminates in the morning and evening(11:00 & 7:30) services with overflow congregations. The main floor sanctuary is open daily for prayer, with noonday organ musical meditations. The wood carving by Alois Lang depicts Christ liking over Jerusalem. The panels of the window portray the great truths of the Four Gospels. Visitors always welcome. |
