Christ Church is located on Second Street
above Market Street. A portion of the present
building was erected in 1727 and the re-
mainder was built at various intervals. Presi-
dents Washington and Adams worshipped -
here and Benjamin Franklin had a pew in this
church for many years. Many great patriots
