This view shows an Incline Railway car
ascending Lookout Mountain. This cable in-
cline is 4,750 feet in length and as it ap-
proaches the top it has a grade of 71 feet
per 100. The altitude is 2,250 feet above
sea level.
From the summit of Lookout Mountain a'
wonderful panorama view can be had of Chat-
tanooga and the surrounding country for
miles around
It is a 15-minute drive by auto from Chatta-
tanooga over a concrete highway to Point Peak
on the summit of Lookout Mountain.
