The Cravens House was General Walthall's Headquar-
ters around which on November 24, 1863 one of the most
romantic battles of the Civil War took place. The house
was wrecked but has been rebuilt on the same foundations
and close by Ohio and lowa have erected handsome monu-
ments. Above may be seen the rocky palisades of the point
of Lookout Mountain.
