This gate was erected in 1905 by the Govern-
ment, as an entrance to Point Park, where the
Battle Above the Clouds was fought in Novem-
ber, 1863. Here in the Park is located New
York's beautiful $100,000 Peace Monument. At ,
the point of the mountain is Umbrella Rock and :
the famous view of Moccasin Bend.
