Build in 1723 by Samuel Morris, a Welsh Quaker, for his intended bride, but the marriage never took place. During the Revolution, it was for a time the headquarters of General Nathanael Greene and also a hospital for the American wounded. It is notable as a fine example of Colonial Georgian architecture. A property of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
