Audubon, (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania. (about 3 miles north of Valley Forge Park) The first home in America of John James Audubon, world renowned naturalist, ornithologist and artist. The grounds of approximately 150 acres are maintained as a wildlife sanctuary and recreational area. The Audubon Mansion, built 1762, is now a museum containing exhibits of authentic objects of historic interest covering the life and times of John James Audubon. Visitors welcome daily 10 A.M. - 5 P.
