Colonial Court House, built in 1724 during the reign of George I of England, is the oldest government building in continuous use in the United States. Here, "Mad Anthony Wayne" so called because of his reckless exploits, drilled Continental Troops in 1776, and here General Lafayette was honored in 1824 on the occasion of his second visit to the U. S. Located on Avenue of the Americas, between Fourth and Fifth Streets, Chester, Pennsylvania. |
