ST. LORENZ LUTHERAN CHURCH
Frankenmuth, Michigan
While journeying through the snow-covered coun-
tryside on the outskirts of Frankenmuth, one may
come to pass over the "Old Black Bridge" as
Frankenmuthers refer to it. On the picture, this
nostalgic construction from yesteryear creates a
unique frame for St. Lorenz Lutheran Church,
oldest Lutheran Church in Saginaw Valley, found-
ed in 1845. Church steeple is 168 feet high, the
cross an additional 54 inches. At night entire
apparatus is lighted, which further enhances the
view.
