One of the last remnants of mining history left in Dickinson County is the Headframe of the Briar Hill Mine. In its time the mine was one of the most productive in upper Michigan. The Headframe is located two blocks off highway US2 in Norway, Michigan.

    This is a crusher bld. Erected in 1915. The headframe was steel and this structure was attacked to it.
