the front towers the
Archabbey Church will be one of the finest
specimens of Romanesque architecture in the country.
The cornerstone was laid in 1892 and thirteen years
were spent in construction.
To the right is the statue of Archabbot Boniface
Wimmer, the founder of St. Vincent--the oldest
and largest Benedictine abbey in the United States.
