Two giant Spillways which will be used during
flood periods when it is deemed advisable to lower
the surface of the reservoir, are known the
Arizona and Nevada Spillways. They have an
approximate length of 650 feet, 150 ft. wide at
the top and an average depth of 125 ft. The largest
battleship could be floated in this structure, if the
shaft at the end of Spillway were dammed at the
portal.
