OHIO'S FIRST OUTDOOR/DRAMA THEATER
Trumpet In The Land
A moving adventure of yesterday. In 1772 David
Zeisberger settled among the Delaware Indians in the
beautiful Tuscarawas Valley and converted them to
Christianity. TRUMPET IN THE LAND, by Paul
Green, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, is the dramatic
story of the early history of Ohio and the Moravian
missionaries great effort to civilize the Delawares.
Had there been no conflict between the British and
American armies so close at hand and the massacre of
96 Indian converts by mistake at Gnadenhutten, this
dream of peace and brotherhood might have prevailed
in the then West. A land finally won only by blood
and misery. This story of peace, love and brother-
hood is played nightly except Monday July-August
and first week in September. Phone 216-364-5111 or
