A new three-story building first occupied during the
college year 1959-60, provides adequate facilities
for the departments of biology, chemistry, mathemat-
ics, and physics. The spacious lecture rooms and
laboratories are served and supplemented by num-
erous seminar rooms, research laboratories, libraries,
and stock rooms.
A private, liberal arts, co-educational institution of
700 students, Wilmington College was founded in
1870 by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
