LORAIN COUNTY COURTHOUSE
Elyria, Ohio
The City of Elyria was founded in 1817; and five years
later the founder, Herman Ely, donated the Courthouse
to the county. The original building was a wooden
structure. This building is across from Ely Park in
downtown Elyria.
