ANNUAL SIDEWALK EXHIBITION
CHARLESTON, S. C.
With favorable weather and an abundance
of interesting subjects, artists both young and
old find Charleston a veritable paradise in which
to pursue their talents. The sidewalk exhibition
is sponsored each spring by the Charleston
Artist Guild. With the old wrought iron fence
of St. Philip's graveyard as a background, hun-
dreds of paintings have delighted thousands of
visitors year after year. A quaint, informal array
with a European flavor, the show illustrates
the variety of subjects available to artists in the
Charleston area.
