FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH
Aiken, S. C.
Organized in 1805, the present church grew from the
old Levels Baptist Church. The Aiken Baptist Church
was built on this site in 1836 and burned in 1878.
Another building was completed in 1878 and yet
another dedicated in 1919. Present colonial style
building was completed in 1958 at a cost of nearly
one half million with a seating capacity of 1400.
