INNER LIGHT
Lynde Point Light Station - Fenwick
Old Saybrook, Conn.
This "inner" light, an aid to navigators running
the narrow channel at the mouth of the Conn-
ecticut River where it enters Long Island Sound,
also houses the US Coast Guard station. The
lighthouse is on automatic signals for lights and
fog horns though at one time it was manually
operated. It can be very nicely seen from a
riverboat excursion, May through fall foliage
time.
