CHAPEL ST. ROCH.
St. Roch Chapel was erected in 1871 by Father Trevis.
with his own hands in fulfillment of a vow made in a
novena to St. Roch, the patron of health. It is a favorite
shrine for the afflicted and many have made long jour-
neys to burn a taper or Blessed candle before the Altar.
On all sides of the chapel are seen exvotos or thanks
offerings left by devout pilgrims in gratitude for favors
granted. Take Villere car from Canal Street.
