"Moffat Road." Perpetual Snow. Travelers over "The Moffat Road" leave Denver in the morning and by noon stand amid banks of eternal snow. The mighty Continental Divide rears its snow-capped crest 11,660 feet above the sea where the line crosses it at Corona, sixty miles from Denver. Here thousands of tourists each year enjoy the wondrous climatic novelty of standing on banks of perpetual snow while the midsummer sun beats down upon the surrounding peaks. The picture on reverse side, a group of lady passengers, was taken July 10th 1910. |
